Piedmont VBC began as a national travel program in 2004. We are fortunate to have enjoyed much success. We are the only club in the Carolina region to earn a bid for the USA National Championships at National Qualifiers four times. Two of our teams won Qualifiers in 2007, one finished second in 2006 playing in the club division. In 2007 we played in the Open division in a few events feeling the higher level of competition would better prepare our athletes for college. In 2008 we decided to play our 18’s in Open events for the entire season and finished second in the Atlanta Qualifier earning us a bid to the USA Nationals Open Tournament. In spite of tough scheduling, our club has won over 70% of its matches.
Our players have also benefited from our successes. We currently have 22 players playing in collegiate volleyball in nine different conferences. All but a few were major contributors their freshman year. Check out our alumni tab to see where they are playing now.
Our primary goal is to prepare players to play at their next level by incorporating cutting edge training techniques and playing a challenging schedule with as much national exposure as possible.
