We met Coach Katoh at the USA clinic in Jan 2007. We invited him to come to our club and train our teams.
In May of 2007 we were able to make this happen. We plan to make his return an annual event and hope to
some day take a team to Japan to experience his culture and style of volleyball. Coach Katoh is currently a
technical consultant for our club as well as our liaison and regional director for Piedmont vbc in Japan.

Coaching Experience:
Coach Katoh began coaching in 1980 with Meitoku HS in Kyoto, Japan. From there he became the head coach of the
Tunisian men's junior national team and assistant coach for the men's and women's national teams as well as the
women's junior national team. Coach Katoh spent 1988-1998 as head coach of the Hitachi Mobara women's team.
He is currently an instructor at volleyball schools in Oami and Togane. Coach Katoh is fluent in English, French and Chinese.
Because of this he has been an interpreter for teams at international tournaments held in Japan.

Coach Katoh is currently FIVB, level 2 certified and worked at FIVB coaching clinics.
