This notice provides clarification on recent stories that were circulating about the Greensboro Sportsplex. During the City's budget presentations information about closing the Sportsplex to daily City operations are being reviewed. However, what’s important to note, is that the City will continue to operate the facility for special events and tournaments, which involve outside contractors and vendors.

 

Under this scenario, the Sportsplex would not be open for drop-in or some Parks and Recreation programs. The City is also continuing to explore privatizing the facility.

Session 1:
Sundays, August 5, 12, 19, 26
3:00 - 5:00 PM
All Sessions at Greensboro Sportsplex
Cost:  $80 for all 4 sessions OR $25 per session

NO SESSION LABOR DAY WEEKEND, September 2!!

Session 2:
Sundays, September 9, 16, 23, October 30

Session 3:
Sundays, October 7, 14, 21, 28

Open to all girls and boys, 3rd - 12th grade

Due to the popularity of our Sunday volleyball clinics, we will continue to offer Sunday afternoon youth clinics during 2012!  Participants will be separated by grade and ability.

Whether you are new to the sport of volleyball and want to learn the basic skills, or want to improve your skills to help you make your school or club team, we are here to help you reach your goals!   

Clinic features solid technical instruction, skill development and agility training from some of the area’s best volleyball coaches.  High number of ball contacts, feedback, and situational games will be featured in each clinic.  Lighter volleyballs, lower net heights, and smaller court sizes will be used when appropriate to encourage greater success.
